Another night out with the girlfriends. Fun times. My recommendation to anyone who is not in a good mood: talk in a southern accent. It makes everything seem 10x more funny. I wish my memory was better, because then I would share with y'all some things that Mara said last night that just seemed so funny. And I got to see Nick. I haven't seen him in so long. Good times.
Yesterday during the One Act competition at Benild, SLP's performance was wonderful. They went in to the critique glowing. The judge's critique was great. They didn't have a single bad thing to say. It was the best critique I think I've ever heard. Then, when we were all back in our classroom, giddy after being praised so much, Mr. Rusack (definitely not spelled right) proceeds to tell us that Park went 1:49 over the allowed 35 minutes. We were disqualified. No state. The mood dropped so fast. Rusack was nearly crying when he told us. My heart sank. This was a good show, and more people deserved to see it. Needless to say, the rest of the afternoon wasn't super fun. The cast was meeting at Jon's house later that night to hang out and give each other support. I was invited.. I guess, but I pretty much felt that I shouldn't be there. I know that it was a worse feeling to the cast when they found out that they were DQed, but I don't think they realized that it mattered to me, too. I put a lot in to this play, as well. I saw it evolve and I think that they forgot that... I am so glad that I was able to apart of this play, and it was invaluable to be able to see from the crew perspective. I only hope, though, that I have a chance of getting in to the spring play, so that I won't feel so left out. But: to everyone on cast and crew for "The Marriage of Bette and Boo", congratulations to all. It was a wonderful show and everyone should be incredibly proud to have been apart of it!
Woah: Justin Timberlake just ripped of Janet Jackson's closes during the half-time show at the Superbowl. Woah dang... that's all I have to say...
I have a date with my Psy book.
